SECRETOS FOR SUCCESS

On Saturday 20th September, we had the honor of having Mr. German Reaño who gave a talk to the youths on the secrets of success. He gave very important advices and principles on how to face and overcome challenges that our youths face so as to be successful in life. Here is the outline of his talk:

To be successful and outstanding, I need to:
- know myself
- know what my strength and skills are
- learn, and not be tired of learning
- develop my talents
- learn to make decisions
- control my emotions
- have good friends who want the best for me, to whom I can seek advice
- recognize that I have my limitations, and so always be willing to learn new things

SECRETOS PARA PODER SOBRESALIR Y TENER EXITO
El sabado 20 de septiembre tuvimos una charla muy importante a cargo de una persona muy especial. tuvimos el agrado de tener presente al Sr. German Reaño quien vino a darnos algunos consejos y algunas recomendaciones para como sobresalir y asi de esta manera siempre afrontar los retos que los jovenes de ahora pasamos... el nos dio los siguientes consejos:

Para poder tener exito y sobresalir necesito:

- Conocerme a mi mismo.
- Saber cuales son mis habilidades
- Aprender, no cansarme de aprender
- Desarrollar mis talentos.
- Aprender a tomar decisiones
- no seguir las emociones
- Tener buenos amigos que busquen siempre tu bienestar, amigos con los cuales puedas consultar y buscar consejos.
- Reconocer que tengo limitaciones y por tanto estar simepre dispuesto a aprender cosas nuevas.




We should remember and put in practice the useful advices Mr. German gave us.

CHILDREN'S DAY - YOUTHS IN ACTION!

On Saturday 6th September, our dear mentors had the privilege to bring joy to many children in Huaycan, a shanty town in the north of Lima, Peru.

Our club, which is also the godfather of these children in the PRONOEI*, organized an educational project for them.

This project seeks to apply the PlayNLearn methodoly to enhance learning in the children. We donated educational toys that will help them learn while they play and enjoy themselves!

The volunteer teachers also did an evaluation with the children, while the youths organized a wonderful party for the children. Everybody had fun and a very meaningful time doing something good: HELPING THOSE IN NEED.

This project helps us develop our altruistic potential, and we want to continue helping our society, not only by giving things but also by teaching them something useful for their lives.. EDUCATION is the key!

Besides all these, the youths learned to work together and organized a party with prizes and surprises.. Here are the pictures that tell a thousand words:

* A PRONOEI is a pre-school center set up by the government for the shanty town children, for ages 3-6.


JÓVENES EN ACCIÓN
Este sábado 6 de septiembre, nuestros queridos mentores tuvieron el privilegio de llevar alegría a muchos niños de Huaycán.

Nuestro club Generation ACTS Club, llevó a cabo un proyecto educativo para los niños en el PRONOEI en donde son padrinos de estos niñitos…
El proyecto se trata de llevar una buena educación a los niños a través de los juegos.
Para esto, les obsequiamos juguetes educativos los cuales mejorarán su aprendizaje y a la vez se ¡divertirán mucho!

Los profesores voluntarios les hicieron una pequeña evaluación, mientras que los jóvenes les llevaron una linda fiesta infantil. Todos nos divertimos muchísimo y además hicimos una gran obra para su sociedad:

AYUDAR A LOS QUE MÁS LO NECESITAN.

Este proyecto nos ayuda a desarrollar nuestro potencial altruista, queremos seguir ayudando a nuestra sociedad, no sólo dando cosas sino enseñándoles algo útil que les ayudará para toda la vida, y eso tan importante es: ¡¡EDUCACIÓN!!
Además, los jóvenes trabajaron juntos y organizaron la fiesta y prepararon los premios y sorpresas…

The journey begins.. together with ACAPAN, which is another organization, we headed for Huaycan!

Upon arriving, we started decorating.. Suan didn't need ladders!
Ni bien llegamos nos pusimos a decorar... Suan no necesitaba escaleras

And the girls blew their lungs out while inflating the balloons!

Mientras que las chicas no necesitaban de infladores, usaron sus pulmones... soplen!!

While some decorated, the teachers evaluated the children.. look at Julissa.. doesn't she just look like a loving mum???

And Ms. Aili.. with the small little girl they seem to understand each other perfectly.. hmm.. what are they talking about? Dolls secrets..

Finally, the toys.. and then, come the SHOW!!
Ladies and gentlemen.. Are you ready??

Aren't they just so cute?? And, Mayra become a baby!!

Ayyyy, k bonitos... Mayra se cree bebe... agu agu

Here come the clowns! Isn't the show splendid?

Y llegaron las payasas... bueno show es show, no?

They danced and jumped, shaking every bit of their skeleton.. the children too!!

Bailaron, saltaron, y sacudieron el esqueleto sin parar.. los ninos tambien lo hicieron...

Many games.. and prizes!! YES!!!

Y tambien hicieron muuuuchos juegos... y hubo premios!!! Siii!!

Jonathon forgot himself too.. become a child and starting playing with the balloons!

Jonathan tambien creia que era un ninito y se puso a jugar con globos!!

And so did Laura, thought that she's just starting to learn singing!

Y Laura no se queda atras, hasta penso que recien iba a aprender las vocales...

So finally, after one more dance, everybody received their presents and balloons

Finalmente, despues de un bailecito mas, les dimos sus regalitos y sus globitos..

Not only did the youths enjoy themselves, the children were also very grateful for this gesture. We hope that more youths will join us in such projects that fill our hearts with joy!

No solo los jovenes se divirtieron sino que los ninos se quedaron muy agradecidos con este detalle, y esperamos que mas jovenes nos junten para hacer proyectos como estos que hace que nuestros corazones rebozen de alegria...
