PHONETICS CLASS IN GENACTS!!!

Activities in GenACTS has started!! We open our doors to all members and youths who wish to be part of our club.

This week, we started our new cycle with some very fun phonetics class! With Ms. Keng Suan who taught us different vowels in English and how to pronounce them.. it was a really fun time.. we see the faces of all our membres and new faces that we will soon get to know..

Nuestras actividades en GenACTS ya empezaron!! y abrimos nuestras puertas para todos los miembros y jóvenes que quieren participar en nuestro club.

Esta semana la empezamos con unas divertidisimas clases de PHONETICS! con Miss Keng Suan, y nos enseñó las diferentes vocales en inglés y cómo pronunciarlas... fue un tiempo realmente divertidísimo.. una vez más vimos los rostros de todos nuestros miembros y también caras nuevas que ya estaremos presentándolas...

Wow!! Our members enjoyed themselves so much admiring all the vowels and sounds they have to learn to pronounce.. Amazing!!

A, E, I, O, U: Our star student Elba diligently learning to pronounce well.. All our youths are very well prepared for this course!

Attention: Not only did our students pay attention in class, they also had a lot of fun.. Phonetics does need a lot of effort.. but, can be quite funny...

Atentos: Nuestros alumnos no sólo prestan mucha atención a las clases sino que también se divierten... Phonetics requiere de muuucha atención... pero causa risa...
Eh, how? To pronounce well, you must open your mouth and project the sound.. but sometimes, we forget the extend to which we should open our mouth!

Ehhh como era?: Para poder pronunciar bien se debe abrir la boca y exagerar un poco los sonidos.. pero a veces se nos olvida hasta que dimensión hay que abrirla!

Concentrating: Not only opening your mouths, but also to be really focussed.. Like these 2 girls who weren't distracted at all..

Concentradas: Pero no sólo necesitas de abrir la boca sino estar realmente concentrados.. Como estas dos niñas que pase lo que pase no se distraen...

And that's our first phonetics class.. looking forward to the next one..

Y asi se pasó la primera sesión de clases PHONETICS! y esperamos que las siguientes sean aún más interesantes y divertidas!!!

After everything, some of us gathered together for a short, sweet and fun time where we learned a little more of an ancient book - the bible.. here's a photo of us.. our very own Starbucks time!

Finalizamos con una pequeña. dulce y divertida reunión en donde algunos jóvenes nos juntan para aprender más sobre un libro muy antiguo pero interesante, la Biblia y aqui les presentamos una fotito para compartir... es nuestro Starbucks original!
