Invitado – Sergio Alba y Registro de los nuevos miembros

El sábado pasado, invitamos al Sr. Sergio Alba a nuestro Club para dar una charla sobre la importancia de una mentalidad global y sobre aportación como voluntario. Él tiene una licenciatura en comunicación con una especialidad en publicidad y marketing de la Universidad de Lima, y ahora esta trabajando en la capacidad de Ejecutivo de Cuentas en la impresa Fastup Inc. Está encargado de la cuenta de Motorola, que es una impresa multinacional es también un diseñador grafico.

Last Saturday, we invited Mr. Sergio Alba to our Club to give a talk on the importance of a global mindset and on volunteerism. He is a graduate of the University of Lima with a degree in Communications (Advertising and Marketing), and is currently an Accounts Executive in Fastup Inc., overseeing international brands like Motorola, and is also a graphic designer.



Su charla fue interesante, centrándose en su experiencia de trabajo y de vida en diferentes países. Él nos comento algunas diferencias entre las empresas americanas y peruanas, como la cultura del trabajo. Él nos desafió para atrevernos hacer cosas diferentes aun cuando nosotros podamos sentirnos asustados y pensaríamos en decir "No". Él también mencionó que si nosotros no queremos ser mediocres, pues tenemos que salir de nuestras zonas de comodidad.

His talk was interesting, focusing on his working and living experience in different countries. He commented on some differences between American and Peruvian companies, like the work culture. He challenged us to dare to do different things even though we may feel scared and would consider saying “no”. He also mentioned that if we do not want to be mediocre, we have to step out of our comfort zones.


Nosotros estamos muy agradecidos al Sr.Alba por compartir su experiencia con nosotros, y también por su corazón voluntarioso con nuestro Club.

We are thankful to Mr. Alba for sharing his experience with us, and also for his heart of volunteering with the Club.



Nosotros también tuvimos un gran tiempo con los jóvenes que vinieron para registrarse en nuestro Club. ¡Febrero es el tiempo de Carnavales en Perú, y no nos quisimos perder esto! ¡Había mucha agua tirada y muchas personas que se mojaron, y cada uno tuvo un buen tiempo!

We also had a great time with the youths who came to register in our Club. February is the time of Carnaval in Peru, and we did not want to miss out on this! There were lots of water splashed around and many people got wet, and everyone had a good time!







En dos semanas tenemos a otro invitado, Walter por venir para compartir sus experiencias con nosotros. Walter habla 3 lenguas y todavía quiere aprender otras lenguas. ¿Cuál es la ventaja de hablar varias lenguas? Vayamos averiguarlo cuando él venga. Así que están todos ustedes invitados a nuestra próxima charla el Sábado 7 de marzo a las 3:00 pm.

Two weeks later we will have another invited speaker, Walter, coming down to share his experiences with us. Walter speaks 3 languages and still wants to learn other languages. What is the benefit of speaking so many languages? Let’s find out when he comes. All of you are invited to our talk at 3pm on Saturday the 7th of March.
