Last Saturday we welcomed the youths and their parents to our Club’s Inauguration for Youth Alive! Spring Cycle 2009.
Nuestros jóvenes vinieron muy entusiasmados para descubrir más sobre el nuevo ciclo al igual que sus padres. Fue realmente una alegría encontrarnos nuevamente con las familias de nuestros jóvenes.
Our youths came excited to find out more about the new cycle, as well as their parents. It was really a joy to meet the families of our youths again.
Suan, nuestra Project Manager de Youth Alive!, nos habló sobre la importancia de desarrollar a los jóvenes, no solamente por el bien de los mismos jóvenes sino tambien por el futuro del país.
Suan, our project manager for Youth Alive!, spoke to us about the importance of developing youths, not only for the youths, but also for the future of the country.
“Es importante que los jóvenes tengan una perspectiva global por los diferentes cambios alrededor del mundo. Tener una perspectiva global permitirá a los jóvenes manejar los cambios que afectarán sus vidas.”
“It is important that youths have a global mindset because of the many changes around the world. Having a global mindset enables them to manage the changes that will affect their lives.”
“Para que los jóvenes aprendan más sobre el mundo y se comuniquen con las personas de alrededor del mundo, es necesario aprender Inglés, porque el Inglés es un idioma global.”
“In order for the youths to learn more about the world and to communicate with people around the world, it’s necessary to learn English, because English is a global language.”
“Por medio de nuestras actividades, los jóvenes aprenderán a cómo trabajar en grupos, ganar la confianza de uno y otro, planificar para alcanzar sus metas y también a tener un corazón altruísta por los demás.”
“Through our activities, youths will learn how to work in groups, gain the trust of one another, plan to reach their goals, and also to gain an altruistic heart for others.”
Luego nuestra Executiva del Proyecto, Laura, habló a los jóvenes sobre la importancia de su compromiso en el club.
Then our project executive, Laura, spoke to the youths about the importance of their commitment in the club.
“La mejor manera de apreciar lo que sus profesores hacen por ustedes es mostrando interés en lo que te enseñan.”
“The best way to appreciate what your teachers do for you is to show interest in what they teach.”
“Tu desarrollo personal esta en tus propias manos, y nosotros te ayudaremos para que alcances tu máximo potencial.”

No podemos esperar más por nuestro nuevo ciclo, con entusiasmo! Las clases comenzarán este Sábado a las 3p.m. y las actividades a las 4:30p.m. Deseamos que todos nuestros jóvenes tengan un feliz tiempo de aprendizaje y muchos nuevos amigos en el club.
Classes will start this Saturday at 3p.m. and activities at 4:30pm. We wish all our youths a happy learning time and many new friends in the Club.
